The Zodiac CN Atlético Barceloneta will play in group A of the Champions water polo with him Pro Recco Italian as seeded and the Astralpool CN Sabadell will do it in group B with the New Belgrade Serbian after the draw made by the European Swimming League (LEN) this Saturday in Split (Croatia).
Atletic Barceloneta will play in group A, in addition to Pro Recco, the current champion of the competition, against Waspo Hannover (Germany), Kragujevac workers (Serbia), Dinamo Tbilisi (Georgia), Olympiacos of Athens (Greece) and two teams from the qualifying round.
For its part, CN Sabadell will play in group B against the European runner-up, Novi Beograd, Ferencvaros Budapest (Hungary), NC Marseille (France), Jug Adriatic (Croatia), Spandau Berlin (Germany) and two other teams from the previous one.
The CN Barcelona could be the third Spanish team present in the Champions League, as one of the four teams that fight in the qualifying phase. Last season the CNB was one step away after being eliminated by the Italian Brescia.
CN Sabadell, current champion of the European Championship, the second European competition, achieved direct qualification for the Champions League after accepting the invitation from LEN due to the resignation of the Romanian Steaua Bucharest.
Atletic Barceloneta is a permanent fixture in the highest continental competition of which it was champion in 2014.
