The Alencon badminton club (CAB 61), which is aiming for the climb this year, opened its season of Nationale 3 by a home game against Lillebonne, a weaker opponent on paper.

Loss of a point or the match?

If the players of captain Yann Lemesle have held their rank and assumed their status as favorites (8-0 victory), it is elsewhere that you have to scratch to realize that this victorious exit deserves some explanation.

Prefecturals could be declared green carpet losers. “There are three of our players who, apparently, were not registered and did not have their license”, dissects Yann Lemesle.

“We won the match, but we don’t really know, in the regulations, how it’s going. We should have five points for the victory and another for winning 8-0. But there, we don’t know if we just lose a point or if we lose the match. »

Beginnings and a return

A child of the club, Lison Mesnil-Perret, back in competition, participated in the success of his family, despite a lack of rhythm.

“Pain all over the place, but I only returned to France at the end of August. I had to practice three times. There, it was complicated, but it will be better afterwards, ”she shares. “I will train twice a week. I’m going to do a tournament the first weekend of October before the Interclubs. »

This resumption of the championship was also an opportunity to discover new faces. Lyse Gagliardia summer rookie, was “a little stressed”.

“It was the first day. I didn’t know Théo too well (Gallou, with whom she played doubles, editor’s note), we had never played together. But I will adapt. »
