In qualifying in March against Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, Zverev had won his two singles, which had allowed the Germans to obtain their ticket for the group stage of the Davis Cup.
Zverev will be joined by Oscar Otte, Jan-Lennard Struff, Tim Puetz and Kevin Krawietz as part of the German squad to face France, Australia and Belgium in Group C. The group stage will take place in Bologna ( Italy), Glasgow (Scotland), Malaga (Spain) and therefore Hamburg (Germany).
