A women’s soccer team

Brassy. Football: place for women!. Accustomed to its men’s football team, the small village of Brassy saw the birth of a magnificent project this summer. Many of the girls were supporting and watching the Brassy men’s team, and after a while they thought: “And why not us?” At first, it was a simple desire but it quickly became a serious project. Two, three, four, then thirteen girls (Jennifer, Morgane, Christine, Aline, Harmonie, Melissa, Clara, Lucile, Hedeline, Manon, Emma, Gaelle and Lucile) from Brassy and the surrounding villages came together to set up a women’s team of football.

Players between 15 and 35 years old

80% of them had never touched football in their lives, but that didn’t mean they got discouraged, quite the contrary. Training took place in joy and good humor all summer long, to learn the rules and the basics.

Composed of players between 15 and 35 years old, the team has chosen to only train and play friendly matches for this first season. The girls from Brassy played their first friendly match on Sunday, September 4, against the Saint-Révérien team, whom they thank for their welcome.

Delighted with this new initiative, the Jeunesse Sportive Brassycoise is therefore looking for volunteer and motivated players, as well as teams to play friendly matches for this 2022-2023 season. It goes without saying that the girls are expecting a large number of supporters at the edge of the pitch to support them all season long!
