MÁLAGA, 22 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A total of 260 athletes will participate in the II Diputación de Málaga Basketball Super Cup. The 13 highest-level clubs in the province will meet in 18 games at the Arroyo de la Miel and La Mosca sports centers and at the El Pinar school facilities.
This has been announced by the Deputy for Sports, Cristóbal Ortega; together with the vice president of the Andalusian Basketball Federation and delegate in Malaga, Ricardo Bandrés, during the presentation of this tournament, which is added to the Diputación’s agenda of basketball events, which includes its own activities such as the 3×3 Provincial Circuit and the Campus of Summer, or big events such as the Fimba Maxi Basketball European Championship, the U17 World Cup or the Costa del Sol Tournament.
The sports center of La Mosca will host the competition of the women’s N1 category, in which Unicaja, CB Salliver Fuengirola, CAB Estepona and CB El Palo will face each other. It will be on October 8 and 9.
The EBA men’s category tournament will be held on October 1, 7, 9, 15 and 16 at the El Pinar School in Alhaurín de la Torre. The participating clubs will be Unicaja, CB Marbella, CB Benahavís, CB Novaschool and CD El Pinar.
In the men’s N1 category, CB Benalmádena, CB Salliver, CP Mijas and CB Alhaurín de la Torre will participate. The matches will be this weekend, September 24 and 25, at the Arroyo de la Miel sports center in Benalmádena. All matches are free to enter until full capacity is reached.
