Sandhausen stronger, but Teuchert scores

Sandhausen got off to a better start in the game, after three minutes Ron-Robert Zieler prevented an early Hanoverian deficit, and his goal was definitely under pressure in the following actions. Only after a good ten minutes did the Lower Saxony slowly gain a foothold – and shortly afterwards struck directly: Teuchert got the ball on the right in the penalty area, was not significantly disturbed by the sand houses, moved in and converted a low shot to take the lead (14th). .

Despite the goal, the hosts continued to have more of the game, but did not convert the field advantages into countable results. Among other things, the SVS brought six corner balls in the first half, Hannover didn’t have a single one. The first 45 minutes almost went even worse for Alois Schwartz’s team, but Teuchert only hit the side netting shortly before the break (44′).

Goal-rich second half between Sandhausen and Hanover

In the second half, Sandhausen came out of the cabin with more momentum – with the difference that this time it also resulted in a goal. After a long video study of the scene, referee Wolfgang Haslberger correctly awarded Sandhausen a penalty in the 55th minute: Phil Neumann had fouled Christian Kinsombi. His brother David transformed ice cold. Five minutes later, Haslberger again pointed to the point and Neumann the yellow-red card – this time the referee took back the penalty kick and the punishment after several views of the scene on the sidelines. Again he was right.

After a corner kick, Nielsen put Hannover back in the lead with his fifth goal of the season and the 96ers’ first chance to score since the restart – the Norwegian scored with a powerful header (65′). In the heavy rain that started again, things got wilder and wilder. Only five minutes passed before Sei Muroya made it 3-1 for Lower Saxony in the penalty area. Sandhausen hadn’t given up yet, however, and less than 120 seconds later, a header from Bashkim Ajdini closed the gap to make it 2:3 (73′). Substitute Abu-Bekir El-Zein almost made it 3:3 shortly before the end, but found his champion in Zieler (88th).
