Los Yankees beefed up their pitching for the stretch run and playoffs during the trade deadline of the Major League Baseball (MLB) getting starter Frankie Montas and reliever Lou Trivino from the Oakland Athletics for four prospects, a move made this Monday, August 1st.

New York sent 26-year-old rookie lefty JP Sears to Oakland along with three minor leaguers: 24-year-old lefty Ken Waldichuk, 23-year-old righty Luis Medina and 22-year-old infielder Cooper Bowman.
