Vladlens Jarockis wins a bronze medal at the European Judo Cup

On August 6-7, in Riga, as part of the European Judo Tour, the European Adult Judo Cup was held in the international exhibition center Ķipsala, in which Vladlens Jarockis from Ventspils participated and won a bronze medal.

Athletes from 16 countries participated in the competition and Vladlen competed in the weight category up to 100 kg.

In the semi-final fight, Vladlen lost to the Ukrainian athlete Daniel Hutsol and shared 3rd place with the Latvian athlete Vyacheslav Melnichenko. In the final, Ukrainian Daniel Hutsol beat his compatriot Alexey Yershov.

Vladlens Jarockis is the 2018 European Sambo Youth Champion and the 2017 European Youth Championship bronze medalist. In 2017, the athlete in Ventspils received the “Sports Award of the Year” in the “Hope in Sport” nomination.
