Holders of TV rights in the second part of the championship, BeIN Sports and France Télévisions would like to continue broadcasting the Betclic ÉLITE at the start of the school year. Nothing has been signed yet, the channels are still in discussions with the LNB. This is very good news that is about to materialize for French basketball.
Without a premium broadcaster at the start of last season, French basketball should find takers next school year. And what could be better than working over the long term with BeIN Sports and France 3 Regions to retain a large public still lacking fixed appointments? According to our information, the Qatari group like France Télévisions would like to continue broadcasting the Betclic ELITE at the start of the school year. Nothing has been signed yet but an agreement between the two groups and the National Basketball League (LNB) could be finalized soon. Sport in France, the channel of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF), should also continue to offer a weekly poster to its viewers.
???? This is good news for French basketball which is about to materialize. beIN SPORTS would like to continue broadcasting the #BetclicÉLITE. This is also the case of France 3 Regions, with one stall per week. To be continued…

Already a broadcaster of the NBA, the WNBA and the NCAA, BeIN Sports expanded its basketball offer at the end of 2021 by broadcasting the best poster of each day of Betclic ÉLITE as well as the All-Star Game and most playoff games. The Qatari channel thus took advantage of its notoriety with “NBA extra” to introduce American basketball aficionados to French basketball by creating “LNB extra”, at the very beginning of the evening on Sunday evening. Convinced by the broadcasting of basketball, BeIN Sports has even acquired exclusive TV rights for the next FIBA competitions of the two French teams, until the end of 2023 (with the exception of the men’s EuroBasket, at the beginning of September).
Soon a meeting per week broadcast by France Télévisions?
France Télévisions was also won over by its partnership with the LNB. France 3 Regions broadcast 13 regular season matches as well as 3 playoff matches. This was the case, for example, of the Western derby between Le Mans and Cholet at Antarès or even of match 2 of the semi-finals between Strasbourg and Monaco. A meeting which alone would have attracted 32,000 viewers, according to mediametry, only on France 3 Alsace (audience not measured on France 3 Côte d’Azur). The public service group, recognized for its know-how on major elements such as the Tour de France or Roland-Garros, would like to distribute one poster per week via regional stalls, on Saturday afternoons.

With the exception of the matches broadcast on BeIN Sport, if the agreement were to be finalized, all Betclic ÉLITE matches should therefore be available on LNB TV, the League’s OTT platform launched in October 2020. Again, audiences are very satisfactory and have increased by 32% compared to the 2020-2021 season.
