Tim Merlier recently announced his move to Quick Step-Alpha Vinyl. But that will not be the biggest change for 2023, because in February the sprinter will also become a father for the first time.
His partner Cameron Vandenbroucke, the daughter of ex-cyclist Frank Vandenbroucke, is about three months pregnant.
Merlier, who finished 3rd at the European Championships in cycling, is currently riding the Vuelta. In the first two bunch sprints he had to settle for a 3rd and 6th place.
