The Sant Jordi Cross inspires Barça’s third shirt

The Sant Jordi Cross, an award that Barça received from the Generalitat 30 years ago, inspires the third shirt of the Blaugrana team, which will be released tonight in the duel against ELA that will be held at the Camp Nou against Manchester City.

“The club wants to emphasize the commitment to social commitment, diversity and inclusion that form part of the pillars that underpin the motto ‘more than a club'”, argued Barça. And he indicated that the official presentation of this new equipment was made with the players of the first team together with players of the Barça Genuine Foundation.

It will be used in all competitions

This third kit, unlike last season, will not be exclusive to the Champions League, but, as reported by the Barcelona club, “will alternate with the first and second shirt in the different competitions”.

It is an absolutely groundbreaking design, because the usual stripes disappear and it includes the drawing of “a large cross in blue and red on the front of the shirt, the base of which is light gray”. Barça states that “it is a very atypical proposal, as it represents a novelty in relation to the historical imagination of shirts”.
