This Tuesday it was learned that after a meeting between Kevin Durant and owner Joe Tsai, general manager Sean Marks and coach Steve Nash, the star player withdrew his request to be traded from the Brooklyn Nets.
The Nets plan to try again with Durant, Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons (who has yet to make his team debut) as the main stars of the project.
Of course this is bad news for the Los Angeles Lakers, who have long been looking for a trade for Irving, but now that possibility has been closed, at least momentarily.
Now a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic revealed that the Lakers high command would seek to add Bogdan Bogdanovic and Patrick Beverley, who currently belong to the Utah Jazz.
Bogdanovic and Beverley would fit in nicely alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis, so it’s no surprise the Lakers are interested in adding these two productive veterans. Something that can also help them is that Utah is in a rebuilding stage, so the priority for the franchise is to give playing time to young players.
It was recently known that the management of the Californian team promised LeBron James that they will look for reinforcements and it is clear that they are already moving to fulfill their great star.
