  • This sports space that was abandoned for years will become a new basketball court with backboards, hoops, LED lights and a perimeter fence.

The CPC Villa El Libertador is working on the renovation of the sports field that was in a state of total abandonment.

This sports space is located on the side of the Community Participation Center building and 4 million pesos were allocated for its enhancement.

The enhancement consists of the construction of a basketball court that will measure 16 meters wide by 30 meters long with a new concrete floor of seven centimeters, smoothing the surface, painting and marking the court.

New basketball boards and hoops will be installed and it will have a perimeter wire fence.

In addition, columns and lighting towers will be improved, with new LED lighting.
The work will be completed with the repair, curing, waterproofing of roofs and drainage gutters with leaking problems; delimitation and improvement of vehicle parking.

The work is an initiative of the CPC together with the Secretariat of Citizen Participation that works on improvements to the community participation centers.

“For a long time, the beach was deteriorated and abandoned until today. For us it is very important because they constantly came to complain about this issue. Today we see the progress in the work that will allow the neighbors to enjoy a closed beach with a containment network. It is a great joy to be able to continue promoting sports in our CPC with the boys and girls of the neighborhood and, in turn, to be able to provide a solution to the neighbors who asked many years ago”expressed Stella Bustos Fierro, director of the CPC Villa El Libertador.
