The female U-16, silver in the Eurobasket and eighth medal for Spain

MADRID, 27 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish U-16 women’s basketball team fell (65-61) in the Eurobasket final of the category held in Portugal against France, the eighth metal for Spain in the eight tournaments held so far.

Spanish basketball brushed gold in its eight out of eight in finals this summer, three golds and five silvers that promise a future. Those of Carlos Cantero shared dominance in the final with the French, who imposed their physique more.

Sarah Keboum Biamou and Awa Fam were the best in Spain, while Clémence Collin and Iyana Martin carried the weight of the match in the finery. Spain forced extra time when everything seemed lost, but France had the extra time to win.
