the City confirms its label and aims for the Olympics

In 2017, the National Council of Active and Sports Cities (CNVAS), under the high patronage of the Ministry of Sports, created this famous label. It aims to reward and promote municipalities that have coherent sports policies and the promotion of physical activities accessible to as many people as possible, throughout life. “Values that are widely found in our sports policy”, indicates Frédéric Saint-Béat, sports advisor.

He continues: “This confirmation encourages us to continue on this path of sport for all. It also recognizes the investments we have made in recent years”. It is also with their eyes fixed on 2024 and the Paris Olympic Games that the Boétiens welcomed the news.

Improve facilities

Certainly the local facilities will not host events in the summer of 2024, but its archery site is part of the preparation centers. Crowned with this other label, the Archers de Boé center can have the privilege of receiving, in the months or weeks preceding the Games, foreign teams who have come to train.

“With Frédéric Saint-Béat; Carole Ferriou, former world archery champion and member of the Archers de Boé; Jean-Marie Tovo, president of the club; and Édith Staedler, archer, we went to the world championship in Paris in June. We met several delegations there, including Canada, Singapore and Brazil, who expressed an interest in our site and the possibility of coming to prepare for it”, says Pascale Luguet.
