“It is the first time that we present in Mexico and the first time in Latin America, for the first time in 20 years to be presented outside of Europe. We had more than 100,000 people on the Tour and I’m sure this time it will be surpassed,” says Finn Taylor, CEO of the International Volleyball Federation.

The 14th edition of the World Cup will have as headquarters to Tlaxcala, Apizaco and Huamantla with its four bullrings, requiring 1,200 tons and expecting to gather more than 50,000 spectators.

“In terms of expenses, it will be merely operational. The great reason this venue was achieved for Tlaxcala was the great party that took place in March. People behaved as if there was a permanent event, as if there was an education, a culture around beach volleyball“, explains Ana Guevara, head of the Conade.

The event will have great importance because the winning pairs will have the ticket to the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

“Let’s have the opportunity to receive the world in Tlaxcala, Mexico is a great host not only for events,” adds Guevara.
