Ten-headed Liverpool also does not get past Crystal Palace and starts the competition with a meager 2 out of 6, newcomer Nuñez takes red after a headbutt

Liverpool also failed to win their second Premier League game. The Reds were looking to pick up at home against Crystal Palace after their opening draw at Fulham on opening day, but instead it ended up being another draw. The match ended 1-1, with Liverpool playing ten for more than half an hour after newcomer Darwin Núñez headbutted.

Liverpool had fallen behind after half an hour after a goal from Wilfried Zaha. After 57 minutes, The Reds were still chasing when the lights went out at Darwin Nuñez. He confronted opponent Joachim Andersen and knocked him to the ground with a headbutt. A stupid red card was the logical consequence.

Liverpool therefore had to continue with his tens for more than half an hour, but still managed to save a point at their own Anfield. Luis Diaz equalized shortly after Núñez’s red card. Liverpool did not come any further, making it a minor start to the season for the vice champions of the Premier League. The Reds are only two out of six and already have four points to make up for Manchester City and Arsenal, who are the only ones with a perfect report to start the season.
