Vozabal does not dramatize the mentioned situation in any way, but admits that it would be better to avoid similar things and nominate referees from another destination. “I might have mentioned it emotionally and it would have annoyed me. But I wouldn’t deal with it with a cool head. I don’t think it’s a problem, the worse years are behind us,” the expert suggests, adding that the quality of Czech referees’ performances is increasing and that there are fewer problematic situations than in the past. Moreover, they all know each other well today.
“I understand that when a situation like this happens, it’s a tool for debate. In order for it not to be, the referee from Olomouc should not whistle the Sigma match,” he thinks, but reminds that Sparta’s match in the capital is also officiated by a referee from Prague.
