Massachusetts amateur baseball will be showcased on the national stage this week as a team from the Shrewsbury American Legion and Middleborough Little Leaguers each battle for their respective league’s World Series titles.
Shrewsbury Post 397 was one of eight teams across the country to advance from a regional tournament to the American Legion Baseball World Series at Keeter Stadium in Shelby, North Carolina.
The Lieutenant Governor’s team. Karyn Polito City plays the Idaho Falls, Idaho team at 7 p.m. Monday for a shot at qualifying for Tuesday’s championship game against Midland, Michigan or Troy, Alabama.
