Whenever you spotted the shot putter Simon Bayer in Munich in the past few days: the 26-year-old was beaming. Whether he advanced to the final of his discipline, where he was presented on Monday evening as the only German EM starter or after he finished the competition in eleventh place with 19.83 meters. Such meritorious achievements are quickly lost in the wide sea of media sports. In any case, Bayer is also such an exciting person to talk to: he can talk like no other about the stresses of sport, studies and work, which have recently been discussed again in German sport.
