Samsung Life Insurance won the women’s team event at the National Badminton Championships for the first time in two years.

Samsung Life defeated Jeonbuk Bank 3-0 in the final of the women’s general team at the 2022 National Badminton Championships held at Dangjin Indoor Gymnasium in Chungcheongnam-do on the 7th.

With this victory, Samsung Life took the top spot for the first time in two years after winning the 2020 tournament.

In addition, after the ‘Korea Badminton Association Long-Term National Badminton Championships’ last month, it achieved the second consecutive national championship.

Samsung Life easily won the first and second matches played in singles by sending Ahn Se-young and Kim Ga-eun, the national team ‘two wagons’.

Ahn Se-young defeated Park Jeong-ah 2-0 (21-10 21-7), and Kim Ga-eun also defeated Song Hyeon-joo 2-0 (21-7 21-15).

In the three matches played in doubles, Lee Yeon-woo and Kim Yoo-jung defeated Sung Seung-yeon and Park Min-ji 2-0 (21-10 21-18), and Samsung Life achieved a perfect victory without giving up a single set in the final.

In the final of the men’s general team event, Miryang City Hall defeated Yonex 3-2 at the end of a close match to win the tournament for the first time in 16 years.

In 5 matches 2-2, Son Wan-ho from the national team defeated Kim Yong-hyun 2-0 (21-19 21-13) and led the team to victory.

In the men’s collegiate team finals, Korea National Sports University won 3-1 over Dong-Eui University to take the top spot in 7 years.

In the women’s college team event, Incheon National University defeated Korea National University 3-2 to win the tournament for the second time in a row.
