Quilmes incorporated a pivot and a forward «Diario La Capital de Mar del Plata

The tresarroyens pivotand Jerome “Tucumanito” New Quarter and the nicoleño eaves Genaro Calcaterra became new Quilmes players this Thursday to face the next season of the Argentine Basketball League.

The center, 23 years old and 2.05 meters, comes from playing with very good success for Facundo, from La Riojawith averages of 15.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists.

Meanwhile, the young forward, 21 years old and 1.97 meters tall, arrives from Belgrano of San Nicolaswhere registered 11.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in the last season.

Both chips performed successfully in the Federal League, and will move up a category.

Barrionuevo is an important pivot for the second division of Argentine professional basketball, while Calcaterra is a very athletic forward, who was able to face Quilmes with Belgrano de San Nicolás, in the Junior League. He is an intense player, who runs the counterattack very well and has the resources to score.

Thus, the Quilmeño squad is being delineated, with the additions of Luis Cequeira (point guard), Ezequiel Dupuy (shooting guard), Gregorio Eseverri (forward) -presumably members of the initial formation-, shooting guard Luciano Ravera, the aforementioned Barrionuevo and Calcaterra, point guard Francisco Arraiz and pivot Tomás Nally, plus the youth players who carry out their continuity (Agustín Ecker?).

It still remains to define the starting power forward, although for now, all the options that the leadership and the coaching staff had in the folder could not be specified. We will have to keep looking.
