Pro B: Croatian international Toni Perkovic arrives in Orleans

After an entire career in the country, the Croatian international Toni Perkovic (1.91 m, 24 years old) arrives in France. The back has signed up for a season with Orléans, in Pro B.

Relegated to Pro B at the end of last season, the OLB is continuing its recruitment with the arrival of Toni Perkovic. Trained in Zagreb at Cedevita Olimpija – with which he discovered the Eurocup between 2017 and 2018 -, the 2018 Croatian champion had been playing in Split for three seasons.

Last season, he compiled 14.6 points (45% shooting), 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists for 14.5 rating in 27 minutes in the Croatian league but also 10.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists for 9.5 rating in 25 minutes in the top Adriatic league.

A Croatian international, he has participated in the last international windows and is currently in the group of 16 players selected to prepare for EuroBasket in early September. He completes the Orleans rear-wheel drive alongside Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson, Malela Mutuale and Neftali Difuidi.

Germain Castano, coach of the OLB : « He’s a young player coming out of a very good season in Split, he’s the perfect 2/1 capable of creating and shooting. He’s a player very athletic which allows him to be hard-hitting and to cause a lot of faults, who has a sense of the game and who is not afraid to take his responsibilities. »
