PMU – Arrival of the quinté of Tuesday August 16 at Deauville: Perl wins his first quinté.

Arrival of the fifth : 7 – 12 – 9 – 5 – 15

Contested over the 1,400m of the Deauville straight line (Calvados), the fifth of the day brought together sixteen females aged 3 to 5 years inclusive. This event gave pride of place to competitors with a string number outside of which Perl (n°7) who started from stall number 14. After having waited in fifth position, she put on an excellent thrust and showed tenacity to win a first event of this kind. Trained on the spot by Yann Barberot, she was associated with Grégory Benoist and caused a surprise posting an odds of 25/1: “It’s a filly waiting. I was brought back by the favorite and she made the difference in the final phase. »

the favourite, Lily Rose (n°12) must once again be satisfied with a runner-up. After having waited as usual, with her number 15 outside, she accelerated perfectly and looked like a winner for a moment. It is still performing remarkably well, preserving second place with a nose against Gold (n°9) which performs a convincing re-entry race. After waiting, she concluded in a pleasant way and thus confirmed her fourth place on May 24 at the Saint-Cloud racecourse. Arrival fourth, Warrior (n°5) wipes out its recent underperformance at this level of competition. Pearls Angel (n°15) completes the arrival of the quinté.
