But the negotiations broke down over money, Slavia allegedly offered a sum of around ten million kroner at the time, which was not enough for Hradec. Fullback Jan Mejdr, who was Vlkanova’s teammate at the time, even left for rival Sparta during the summer. And Vlkanova remained loyal to the Votroks.
Now the transfer of the skilful midfielder is in play again. The information, which was first published by the newspaper Sport, was subsequently confirmed for Sport.cz by a source who is well acquainted with the situation regarding Viktoria Plzeň’s interest in Vlkanova. “The offer was made, but Plzeň does not intend to engage the player at any price,” stated the Sport.cz source. He indicated that the financial terms of the transfer are different, as in the previous case, when Slavia was interested in the player.
