Pilar’s tennis packs her bags for Mar del Plata

In the city of Chivilcoy was developed the Regional Tennis Stage of the Buenos Aires Games and in that place, the good news multiplied for Pilar’s athletes.

It is that as it happened every day of the week in different disciplines, this sport also managed to classify three athletes for the Provincial Final that will take place in Mar del Plata.

In this case, Pilar advanced towards the event in Mar del Plata with the single by the men’s Sub 14 category and the doubles of the same division but in the women’s branch.

“It was another great day in terms of results. All the boys who traveled to Chivilcoy showed a high level and even deserved to reach the Provincial Final, to which only one single and one doubles entered. Tennis always says present in Mar del Plata and this year it will not be the exception”, summarized the municipal sports director, Fernando Trillo.

In the Under 14 category, Lautaro Tremonti completed a great tournament. Several weeks ago he authoritatively won the Local Stage of the single and in the Regional he also marked clear differences with his rivals to celebrate the title and the classification to “La Feliz”.

The other great local joy occurred in the women’s doubles of the same Sub 14 category. In that division, the duo made up of the sisters Mercedes and Magdalena Asturiano Clua beat the Exaltación de la Cruz couple in the final and will also have to pack their bags to be in the Provincial Final.

For the Asturiano Clua sisters, who are students of Professor Luis Aguirre, like Tremonti, it will be their second consecutive experience in Mar del Plata, after the good pace recorded last year when they narrowly missed the semifinals.

The delegation from Pilar was completed with Lautaro Bringas, who participated in the single of the Under 16 category and was eliminated in the first round after losing to the representative of San Antonio de Areco, and with Jazmín Ledesma Bayer, who lost in her debut in the divisional Under 14 against Suipacha.
