Officially becoming an Indonesian citizen in League 1, this Madura United Import Midfielder Shares His Future Goals

But they also managed to achieve an important mission regarding the players. Precisely in changing the status of Lee Yu-Jun, who was previously a foreign player, to become a local player, aka naturalization.

The method, of course, is the naturalization process. And so far, the mission has been successful after Lee Yu-Jun officially became part of Madura United as a local player.

The imported South Korean-born midfielder has officially become an Indonesian citizen (WNI). Yu-Jun has also defended Madura United in League 1.

“Of course, I am very grateful to finally become an Indonesian citizen,” said Lee Yu-Jun after escorting Madura United to beat Dewa United 1-0 at the Bangkalan Gelora Stadium, Friday (19/8/22).

His debut as a local player occurred when Madura United challenged Persebaya at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya, last Sunday (14/8/22).

While his debut as a starter occurred when Madura United hosted Dewa United. Yu-Jun became Madura United’s main option in midfield before being replaced by Zulfiandi in the 62nd minute.

“Grateful to be able to help this team, we won and maintained our position at the top of the table,” said the former Bhayangkara FC player in Liga 1.
