Nolan Arenado will uniform with the United States in the 2023 World Baseball Classic to seek the two-time championship

USA Baseball confirmed this Sunday the presence of third baseman Nolan Arenado with the United States team for the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

“He helped us win in 2017, now he is determined to defend the title. Nolan Arenado is ready.” USA Baseball published through its account on the social network Twitter, along with an image of Arenado and the hashtag #ForGlory.

Arenado, who plays for the St. Louis Cardinals in the Major Leagues, is the third player to confirm his participation with the American team. for next year’s event, alongside designated team captain Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels and second baseman Trevor Story of the Boston Red Sox.

Arenado was part of the champion team of the last edition, which defeated the representatives of Puerto Rico in the final match.

The 31-year-old is one of the top third basemen in Major League Baseball.where this year he has posted a .292 offensive line with 18 home runs and 59 RBIs.

Arenado has become one of the best third basemen in all of Major League Baseball. He has nine Gold Gloves, all consecutively since his debut season in 2013. He has also been selected to seven All-Star Games, has won four Silver Sluggers and five Platinum Gloves, the highest defensive award for an MLB player.

This year he was also part of the National League All-Star Game in the uniform of the Cardinals of San Luis and is with the team in the fight for the Central Division to advance to the postseason.

The United States team will begin the defense of its crown of this tournament, which will bring together 20 teams for the first time, starting on March 11, 2023 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.
