Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mane scored a goal against RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup match at the Red Bull Arena Stadium, Saturday (30/7/2022).
BOLASPORT.COM – Sadio Mane is ready to do anything willingly to win the Champions League with Bayern Munich, including getting rid of Liverpool who have made his name.
Sadio Mane ended his six-year journey with Liverpool after accepting the proposal of Bayern Munich in the 2022 summer transfer market.
The move for the Senegalese national team striker cost 32 million euros or Rp 487.3 billion.
Flashback, in the last 16 of the 2018-2019 Champions League, Mane once faced Bayern Munich when he was in Liverpool’s uniform.
Mane even contributed two goals which led to the Reds’ 3-1 victory over the Bavarians in the second leg match.
Now, after changing camps, he is determined to avenge Bayern’s loss to Liverpool in the Champions League.
“I used to say that the goal against Munich was my favourite, but now it’s my second favorite because they have become my friends,” Mane said as quoted by BolaSport.com from the Daily Mail.
“No, I was joking. Of course, I thought it was a good goal. We had a good game.”
“However, everything has passed. If we meet again, surely as Bayern Munich we will beat Liverpool,” said the owner of two African Player of the Year titles.
