NFL: Aaron Rodgers will not play in preseason

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt Lafleur announced Monday that his star quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not play a preseason game due to uncertainties regarding the team’s offensive line.

Lafleur confirmed that 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love will start Friday in the Packers’ first preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Green Bay team cannot currently count on the services of tackle David Bakhtiari and guard Elgton Jenkins. Both players are unable to play due to knee surgery during the offseason.

Rodgers hasn’t played in preseason games since 2018. Last season, he had 4,115 passing yards and 37 touchdowns. He was the victim of four interceptions.
