The school holiday period often gives free rein to the organization of fun and sporting activities to allow Cameroonians to make their holidays useful.

For this year, the elite club PG Judo organized a Judo competition: The Diamond Challenge. Competition which saw several Cameroonian Judokas compete and even leave with a prize pool of 1 million FCFA. On August 27th Douala more precisely at Parcours Vita, nearly 200 judokas took part in the first edition of the Challenge Diamond organized by the elite club PG Judo.

Not to mention the great participation of athletes, the Diamond Challenge was organized with extreme professionalism. Indeed, the competition was contested in categories and had the privilege of being arbitrated by Juries from the Cameroon Judo Federation. This allowed for scrupulous compliance with the rules.

A successful entry

The first edition of this Diamond challenge being eagerly awaited has finally met expectations. Many have come from all over the country to take part in this tournament and thus compete with others. Technique, agility and strength, everyone had to give their best to be able to hope to win the competition despite the strong presence of competitors. They were 200 to take part in this competition and Leonie Chedjou, the promoter of this initiative said she was satisfied to see so much enthusiasm around this event: “I am satisfied because the public and the athletes responded present. All the clubs joined, it was a great Judo celebration,” she told the press at the end of the event. For Mrs. Chedjou, the purpose of this event was also to make the children happy before the new school year is approaching. “We hope the children will go back to school with a big smile because that was the main idea of ​​the Diamond Challenge”

Thereafter, Leonie Chedjou promises to continue in this dynamic. It’s very rare to see a judo competition where there are bonuses. Faced with the success of this edition, the promoter reassures to come back and register the Challenge Diamond in the long term. We can therefore make an appointment for the next vacation without the risk of making a mistake.
