Nevers Plage draws an excellent balance sheet and is already planning bigger for the next edition

In one month, the Nevers Plage 2022 version would have broken all records.
Jean-Luc Dechauffour, elected in charge of entertainment and major events, announces the figure: “28,508 people, counted by counters installed on the chalet?; therefore do not take into account people who have gone through another path.

Obviously, the heat of this summer greatly benefited this action, which lasted a month, from July 15 to August 15. By way of comparison, the summer of 2021, quite gloomy on the weather side, had blocked the counters at 16,000 “entries”.

The 150 workshops were well attended, including fitness, muscle toning, modelling, archery and plastic arts. In total, the activities and swimming were practiced by 13,500 people; the concerts, by 15,000.

A family audience

“The public was very family-oriented,” explains Jean-Luc Dechauffour, who is challenging himself to extend the 2023 edition of Nevers Plage by a week, with a constant budget (€62,000).

While constantly keeping in mind the ecological aspect and sustainable development: “We want to go even further”, insists the elected official.
He also wants to find activities that can appeal to teenagers.
