(Reuters) – The Nets have signed free agent Yuta Watanabe, the NBA announced on Thursday. Per team policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Watanabe has played in a total of 121 games (8 starts) in the past four seasons with the Grizzlies and Raptors, averaging 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. He averaged 4.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game last season with the Raptors.
As a member of the Japan national team, he played five games in the 2019 World Cup, averaging 15.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. He competed at the Tokyo Olympics last summer as captain.
