NBA market, near the arrival of Markieff Morris to the Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets market has undergone a sharp U-turn. Following the decision to continue alongside Kevin Durant for at least next season, the franchise led by Sean Marks must now change its market objectives, trying to build a team capable of winning immediately rather than one based on the future. This is why above all veterans are needed, preferably with experience from the title: among the few left on the market, the right name identified by Brooklyn is that of Markieff Morris, free after the end of his contract with the Miami Heat. The long, NBA champion in the 2020 Orlando bubble with the Los Angeles Lakers, is well underway for a signing with the Netsas reported by journalist Marc Stein, and would flesh out a rotation under the basket that represents right now (at least on paper) the weakest section of the roster in the hands of coach Steve Nashwith only Nic Claxton and Day’Ron Sharpe as alternatives in the role of 5.

Morris’s bad and unfortunate season in Miami

Jokic loses his head and hits Morris, sent off

Morris is back from a bad season with the Heatin which he played just 17 games following the shove of Nikola Jokic (arrived in response to a bad shoulder to the ball from Morris) which caused him a neck injury from which in fact he never really recovered. Morris played seven games between March and April, but he played just 3 minutes and 28 seconds in Game-4 against the Philadelphia 76ers throughout the playoff ride of Miami, finishing out of the rotations of coach Erik Spoelstra. In Brooklyn he would certainly have more space, even if he must be the one to prove at 33 years of age being able to lend a hand to a team that finds itself having to aim for the NBA title.
