Nba, LeBron James renews contract with the Lakers: it’s a record

LeBron James37 years old, extends his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers for another 2 seasons. The star and the yellow-purple franchise have reached an agreement that also includes an option that James can exercise to extend the agreement to 2024-2025. According to Espn, the new contract provides for an engagement of 97.1 million for the next two years. In the 2022-2023 season, James will earn 46.7 million. The figures allow James to collect a total of 532 million ‘guaranteed’ since the beginning of his career: no player in NBA history has ever earned so much. The ‘Chosen One’ does not enjoy a clause that would allow him to oppose a trade. In the event of a sale, however, James’s salary could increase by 15%.
