NBA, Information: Golden State Warriors all-star Andrew Wiggins regrets vaccination against coronavirus

The Golden State Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins regrets his decision to get vaccinated against the coronavirus – despite his first All-Star appearance of his career and the NBA title.

“I wish I hadn’t had the vaccine,” the 27-year-old said in a conversation with FanSided. “I did it and became an All-Star and Champion. The good thing is that I didn’t miss out on the best year of my career,” said Wiggins. “But I didn’t like putting this stuff in my body and that it didn’t battle my decision. Either I do it or I’m not allowed to play. I didn’t like that.”The Ahead explained that at the start of the season he was torn between getting vaccinated against Covid-19. If he had decided against the vaccine, he might have had a season similar to that of the Brooklyn Nets’ Kyrie Irving. The level guard, unvaccinated, only played 29 games last season due to local pandemic restrictions. Wiggins got vaccinated, played 73 regular-season games, and made his first All-Star.
Wiggins was also able to make a decisive contribution to the Warriors 2022 title. In 22 playoff games, he had 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 34.9 minutes. He also provided the necessary support when things weren’t going so well for the others. The first pick in the 2014 draft goes into the last season of his 147 million greenback rookie extension. Then the Ahead would become a free agent. In the season-ending interview, however, Wiggins sounded cautiously optimistic about an extension. “I would like to stay here. Here is the first class. The artwork, how the players are treated…we’re all one big family. Many locations would say that, but here it is backed up by action.”
