(ANSA) – CIREGLIO (PISTOIA), AUGUST 24 – A basketball court in memory of the champion Kobe Bryant, the NBA champion who died in January 2020 near Los Angeles, in Cireglio (Pistoia), the Apennine village where Bryant grew up together to his father Joe, who between 1987 and 1989 was a professional player in Pistoia basketball series A / 1. This is what was inaugurated in Cireglio, on the occasion of the final evening of the ‘First Kobe Bryant Memorial’. The field was colored with the colors of the Los Angeles Lakers, the team where Bryant became famous.

The ribbon cutting was entrusted to the mayor of Pistoia Alessandro Tomasi and the captain of Pistoia Basket, Gianluca Della Rosa, after the words of the same mayor and the president of the Proloco, Filippo Zuccherini, and the blessing of the local parish priest, Father Paul. The mini three-man basketball tournament was won by the ‘Cangureli’ team, who beat ‘Hochi’ in the final. (HANDLE).
