National wrestling team to compete in Israel

The national wrestling team is taking part this week in the Beersheba tournament which commemorates the massacre of 12 Israeli athletes during the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, 50 years later.

The tournament in question takes place on August 25 and 26, according to The Times of Israel. The organizers called it The Slavin, Halfen, Weinberg & Gottfreund Memorial in memory of the deceased wrestlers.

As a reminder, partnerships between Moroccan and Israeli sports federations have multiplied in recent months.

After football and basketball, the Royal Moroccan Volleyball Federation (FRMVB) and the Israeli Federation (IVA) recently signed a framework partnership agreement aimed, in particular, at consolidating sports cooperation and the exchange of experiences in terms of supervision and training.

This agreement provides, in particular, for the organization of tournaments and friendly matches at the level of the different categories of clubs (professional and amateur) and an annual match at the level of the selections (male and female), the exchange of sports missions, participation in sports competitions and traditional festivals and strengthening training by organizing seminars for coaches and experts.
