FC Bayern will play their first-round match in the DFB Cup against Viktoria Köln tomorrow evening (8:45 p.m., live on ARD/Sky). Munich are the clear favorites in the duel against third division teams. Julian Nagelsmann announced a larger rotation on the final PK before the game.
After Julian Nagelsmann hardly changed his team in the first games of the new season, he will restructure his team more for the cup game against Viktoria Köln: “Basically everyone is fit. However, one or the other established player will not play against Cologne. There will be changes – probably roughly five.”
However, Nagelsmann does not want to do without certain top performers. Accordingly, Thomas Müller and Joshua Kimmich are set and will play.
Goretzka and Choupo-Moting are available again
According to the 35-year-old, newcomers Mathys Tel and Noussair Mazraoui will make their debut for Munich. Homegrown Josip Stanisic and Ryan Gravenberch should also play from the start.
Particularly pleasing: Leon Goretzka and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are also an option and could celebrate their comeback: “I would like to give Leon Goretzka and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting match practice, but of course not from the start.”
