MLB suspends Dominican Fernando Tatis Jr, after testing positive for prohibited substances

Dominican Republic baseball playera, Fernando Tatís Jr, of the San Diego Padres, was suspended by Major League Baseball (MLB) suspended for 80 games after testing positive for banned substances that were detected in an anti-doping control.

If the Padres qualified for the ‘playoffs’, Fernando Tatís would continue without playing due to this sanction.

Fernando Tatís is one of the important casualties of the Padres this seasonin which despite this fact, they keep fighting for the first postseason positions in the MLB.

Last season Tatís Jr. marked his territory, finishing third in voting for the season’s Most Valuable Player award in the National Leagueconcluding with a batting average of .282, with 42 homers and 97 RBIs.

Through Twitter, the Major League Baseball Players Association issued the statements of Fernando Tatís Jr:I want to apologize to Peter, AJ and the entire Padres organization., my teammates, Major League Baseball and all the fans, because of my mistake,” he continued in the statement. “I have no excuses. I would never do anything to cheat or disrespect the game I love,” he read in the message.
