MLB recap of August 19 in the American: The Orioles win a 25-point offensive festival

The Orioles and Boston Red Sox combined for a whopping 25 runs and 37 hits in a 15-10 victory over Baltimore on Friday.

The Red Sox finished the game with 19 hits to the Orioles’ 18.

The Orioles scored all of their runs in the second through fifth innings. They scored three runs in the second and third innings, four runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth.

The Red Sox had a second and third deuce innings before posting five in the fifth and one in the sixth.

Cedric Mullins, Anthony Santander, Adley Rutschman, Ryan Mountcastle and Ramon Urias each homered for the Orioles, ending a short two-game losing streak.

Rutschman finished the game a triple from the carousel and crossed home three times, Santander drove in four runs and scored three while Mountcastle and Jorge Mateo had three RBIs apiece. Austin Hayes hit three hits.

Red Sox starter Kutter Crawford (3-5) had a nightmarish night with nine earned runs on 11 hits in three and two-thirds innings. Reliever Ryan Brasier didn’t do much better with five runs allowed in two thirds of an inning.

Tommy Pham drove in three runs while Alex Verdugo, Christian Arroyo and Rob Refsnyder hit three hits apiece in the loss.

Angels 1 – Tigers 0
LAA : Patrick Sandoval blanked Detroit for nine innings and Mike Trout was 1-for-4 in his 1st game since July 12.
THE : The Tigers suffer a 10th loss in their last 12 meetings.

Royals 3 – Rays 2 (10 manches)
KC : Bobby Witt Jr. slammed a two-run homer and Michael Massey drove in the game-winning run in the 10th.
TB : Shane McClanahan allowed two runs on as many hits in seven innings.

White Sox 2 – Guardians 5
CHW : Andrew Vaughn did not finish the game after being hit in the face by a pitch.
CLE : Triston McKenzie (9-9) recorded 14 strikeouts in seven innings. He allowed two runs.

Rangers 1 – Twins 2
TEX : Martin Perez (9-4) held the Twins to two runs in six innings.
MIN : The Twins signed a 4th victory in a row and came within half a game of 3rd place in the standings of drafted teams.

Mariners 10 – Athletics 2
SEA : Eugenio Suarez drove in five runs on two home runs.
OAK : The A’s have lost their last two games and 11 of their last 13.
