Michigan State Spartans re-sign Tom Izzo

The University of Michigan Spartans have reached a renewal agreement with their current coach Tom Izzo for the next five seasons and a total of 31 million dollars, the media reported. ESPN.

Izzo arrived at Michigan State in 1983, being named assistant coach, to later take charge of the coach from 1995 to the present. In that period he has achieved a total of 666 wins and 267 losses (71.1%), and among his awards the following stand out: 8 NCAA regional titles; 6 Big Ten championships; 10 times Best Big Ten Conference Record; and on two occasions he has been named NCAA Best Coach of the Year (2001 and 2012). Likewise, it should be remembered that in 2016 he was included in the Basketball Hall Of Fame.

And among the many players he has managed are: Charlie Bell, Shannon Brown; Jason Richardson; Zach Randolph; Morris Peterson; Kevin Willis; Eric Snow; Steve Smith; Draymond Green and Scott Skiles.
