Medvedev still world No. 1, Ruud regains 5th place in the ATP rankings

Russian Daniil Medvedev retains the lead in the ATP ranking published on Monday, while the only change in the Top 10 is the return of Norwegian Casper Ruud to the 5th place he had already occupied in July, after his semi-final at Wimbledon.

Ruud takes this 5th place from the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (7th), beaten in the round of 16 in Montreal by the young Briton Jack Draper, 20, who gains 27 places (from 82nd to 55th) thanks to his quarter-final in Quebec .

Beaten in the final in Montreal, the Pole Hubert Hurkacz retains his 10th place, while his winner on Sunday, the Spaniard Pablo Carreño, jumped 9 places, from 23rd to 14th. His best ranking (10th) dates back to 2017.

On the French side, Gaël Monfils, 22nd in the world, who gave up against Draper in Montreal, lost two places but remained the No.1 tricolor, ahead of Benjamin Bonzi (48th) and Adrian Mannarino (63rd), who gained seven places and overtook Arthur Rinderknech ( 64th).
