Matisse Thybulle works on his offensive game

The Philadelphia 76ers have made several relevant moves during the summer period and are now preparing for the training camp which will start at the end of September. Thus, there is less than a month left for the players to rush their individual set-up in order to fully immerse themselves in the new season.

Matisse Thybulle, one of the most outstanding players in the NBA in the defensive section, has spent the summer influencing his dimension in attack, which has emerged as his main drag throughout his first three seasons in the league. According to the medium Yahoo Sportsthe Australian international has worked on his dribblinghis handling of the ball and his finishing at the rim.

In his third season in the NBA, Thybulle could barely average 5.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in a total of 66 games, 50 of them as a starter. His shot attempts were limited to just 4.5 per game, highlighting his notable offensive shortcomings. In fact, this weakness in his game has caused his name to be linked to trade talks since the end of last year.

Thybulle can become an unrestricted free agent next summer if the 76ers don’t pass on the qualifying offer in his contract. Hence the urgent need to expand his offensive performance if he aspires to a lucrative contract extension or a new deal in the NBA, depending on whether or not his future remains tied to the Philadephia franchise.
