Mario Balotelli moves to Sion because of a dispute with the coach

RB Leipzig has at Borussia Monchengladbach officially the interest in a commitment of Max Eberl deposited as the new sports director. According to a Borussia spokesman on Tuesday, the first talks about a possible agreement between the Bundesliga clubs were “but not productive”. RB Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff, who denied an already rumored start date for Eberl, said on Tuesday evening before the Leipzig DFB Cup game against Teutonia Ottensen on Sky: “He said yes, I can imagine that. We said we can imagine that.”
Eberl would fit RB Leipzig “very well” and he was ready to get back on board. “But there is still a bit more to it,” emphasized Mintzlaff. Nothing is fixed yet.
“We are interested in Max Eberl and yes, we have had initial talks. On the other hand, what is reported completely incorrectly is that there is already an agreement and a starting date. Of course we informed Gladbach about our interest, nothing more and nothing less has happened so far,” Mintzlaff told the “Bild”.
“The status is: Yes, there is interest, but details have not been clarified,” he also emphasized on Sky.
Eberl had declared at the beginning of the year that he would no longer be able to carry out his job as head of sport at Borussia. “The person Max Eberl is exhausted and tired. I no longer have the strength to do this job the way the club needs it,” Eberl said on January 28. Since then, the contract with the Gladbachers, which is still valid until 2026 and wants a transfer fee for Eberl, has been suspended. (dpa)
