Liverpool today: Klopp explains adjustment in attack, role of Luis Díaz, Salah and more, Premier | premier league

Liverpool cleared the doubts left at the start of the Premier League by force of goals, in which they failed to win in the first three days.

The 9-0 victory against Bournemouth, with a brace from Luis Díaz, cleared the picture and filled with confidence a squad that is depending on recovering important men from the infirmary.

What changed the landscape so radically? Coach Jürgen Klopp explained it clearly, in the preview of the duel against Newcastle this Wednesday (2:00 pm Colombian time).

“I saw situations where Mo (Salah) crossed the ball and I think the two players in the center of the box were Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold. So we have to be more flexible, we need to bring players into the field, who they are, not I could care less. It’s just about having bodies in and around the area, being in the right positions, this kind of thing,” he explained at a press conference.

Díaz appeared in the center of the area to convert twice with a header, Firmino appeared almost always by surprise from different sectors for his double and his three assists… and thus, the super population yielded fruits that had never been achieved before.

The good news for the German comes from the medical department: “Jota can train from this Thursday, Thiago a little later. Ramsay is closer, Caoimhin Kelleher is walking outside of training,” he added, while rejoicing at the soon return also of Jones and Matip, although they do not have a precise date.

On the need to sign, in the last hours of the market, Klopp did not rule it out but he did not seem in a hurry to make one last move: “I want to develop the club, the squad and be successful,” he concluded.
