Liverpool is skating, Arsenal and Tottenham are intriguing, who is Manchester City’s real rival?

The liverbird club seems the most legitimate candidate to tickle City. Except that the start of the season is not going in this direction. Each time behind, whether at Fulham or against Crystal Palace, Liverpool always came back but never managed to emerge. Already three goals conceded, but above all four points behind the head after two matches which could look like a formality for a favorite for the title.

Compared to last season, the Reds lost big with the departure of Sadio Mané at Bayern. Si Luis Diaz has shown magnificent things since his arrival, there is still a question mark in front of named Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan had made an impression by scoring in the Super Cup and the match against Fulham before freaking out this weekend and being shown the direction of the locker room.

Nunez should be suspended for at least three weeks and will join the long list of absentees. Indeed, Liverpool is not varnished for the moment and has a well-filled infirmary with Konate, Keita, Whom, Oxlade-Chamberlain or Thiago to recite nobody else but them.

Be careful, not everything is all red for Liverpool either. The absentees will return and the victory over City in the Community Shield shows that this team has something under their feet. In the meantime, we will have to tighten the screw and mark the occasion so as not to see City take too much of a lead because, if so, it may be too late.
