The kickboxer reported the news himself in a story on Instagram. There he shared an email explaining to him how on behalf of Talpa – owner of SBS6, the channel where the program will be shown – the recordings for an episode of the Code van Coppens are being postponed. “This is because of the many messages about the troubled situation around you and your family,” the email reads. “It is too great a (financial) risk for us to schedule this now.”

Ben Saddik is not pleased with the cancellation and calls it “pure character assassination”. The story can no longer be seen on his account, but Life of Yvonne, a gossip blogger who is a so-called juicechannel, shared a screenshot of the story in question.

wave of violence

Last month, the kickbock’s entourage was involved in a series of attacks. At the end of July, unknown persons threw an incendiary bomb against the facade of a restaurant owned by the kickbock’s family. In just two weeks, the restaurant in question was hit by attacks three times.

The Ben Saddik family has been the target of several attacks in the past month. Among other things, the home of the kick boxer’s parents in Zegepraalstraat was attacked. There were also shelling of a building in Borsbeek and a hand car wash in Deurne. The violence campaign is said to be the result of a conflict in the drug environment. One of Jamal Ben Saddik’s brothers is said to have lost or stolen a significant shipment of cocaine.
