Harry Kane really enjoyed the heat of the Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur match. He is happy Tottenham can hold the Blues.
Chelsea vs Tottenham, which ended 2-2 at Stamford Bridge in the second week of the 2022/2023 Premier League, was fierce, Sunday (14/8/2022) night WIB. The Blues took the lead through Kalidou Koulibaly in the 19th minute.
Tottenham replied through Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after the break in the 68th minute. The hosts could take the lead again from Reece James’ goal in the 77th minute. But the victory in front of Chelsea’s eyes drifted after Harry Kane scored a goal at the end of the match in the 90+5 minute.
The heat of the match also carried over to the sidelines. The managers of the two teams, namely Thomas Tuchel in the Chelsea camp and Antonio Conte, who gushed Tottenham, clashed with each other.
The tension between the two started when Conte celebrated Hojbjerg’s goal and went to the front of the Chelsea bench. Tuchel did not accept having an argument with Conte.
Tuchel and Conte’s feud culminated at the end of the match. After shaking hands, the two seemed tense until the referee had to send a red card for Tuchel and Conte.
Tottenham captain, Harry Kane, seemed to enjoy the high tension of this match. The Lilywhites hero who avoided this defeat said he was satisfied with a point his team achieved in a tight match at Stamford Bridge.
“Hot! Love it. Good fight, very good to get points. It’s a tough game. The first half was not good enough from our point of view, we just lacked intensity pressing, lacked intensity on the ball and were punished for it,” Kane said as quoted by the Mirror.
“I think the second half we came out with more intensity in the game without the ball and it was good to get the goal back and disappointing to concede again. However, it’s always good to score in the last minute. We left feeling we might be happy with that.”
