Judo. Bronze for the Pontelambrese Bosis at the U18 World Championships in Sarajevo

BRIDGE LAMBRO – Federico Bosis won the bronze in the 66 kg with the victories over the Serbian Pavle Petrovic, the American Anthony Farnot and, after the defeat in the quarterfinals by the Georgian Saba Samadashvili, he got rid of the Australian Kohsei Toyoshima and then, in a spectacular way, the Azerbaijani Nijat Naghiyev.

Today was a rematch -said the Pontelambrese – in the race I was in my head and the desire to take that medal I had left to the Europeans in the final was great. I felt good and I gave my best right from the start … I gained a bit for the meeting with the Georgian who was the opponent to beat and who for most of the match I dominated, it’s good that after that match I was still on the track and that I kept until the end. This medal is the result of teamwork and I dedicate it to my coach Alessandro and the coaches of my club Filippo, William and Emanuele who worked with him to get here. Thanks also to my brother and my parents who are always there ”.

“Hard work always pays off – commented Massimiliano Pasca, men’s head coach – Federico Bosis’s amazing medal proved it. In fact, Federico played an almost perfect race in which concentration really made the difference ”.
